So it’s 2 days away from BlogHer17 and I am freaking out! This is my first blogger conference and I am so excited, a little nervous and well did I say excited? Last year my friend tried to convince me to go to blogHer16 in L.A. but I didn’t want to fly nor was I ready to take the official leap into the blogger hemisphere. Here we are a year later and I am taking that leap. (Yayyyyy) This morning I woke up questioning if I was really ready? Then came, what do I wear? Will I know anyone? Will I learn anything? Will they like me? Is this the direction that I want to go? What do I wear? Is this the right time? What do I wear? Yes I think I am obsessing a little too much over what I should wear. But really what do you wear to a conference with thousands of ladies? And shoes I need cute but comfy shoes for all of the standing around and mingling.
There is a crazy lineup all three days. And I got into the speed dating where it’s invite only and you get 90 seconds with some of the top brands. Yes I am freaking out. I am also really looking forward to seeing Chelsea Clinton and meeting Serena Williams. Yep, I am putting out into the Universe that I am going to meet Serena this weekend. I cannot wait to share my tips and meet all of the incredible women that will be there this year. If you are thinking about taking that leap and stepping out of your comfort zone all I can say is dive in. If you are waiting for the right time, guess what? There will never be a perfect time. #letsdothis
Fall is here and that means we get to change it up a little in the MIA! It isn’t as cool yet but that doesn’t mean that we can’t start mixing the Fall trends with our South Florida weather. Here are a few of my must have Fall pieces that will keep you looking and feeling fly! (minus the cool temperatures)

Hello 2016! I am so excited to see what is in store this year. Last year was pretty damn good and I know 2016 will be even better. I was talking to my husband and oldest daughter last night as we waited for the countdown and asked them if they had any new year’s resolutions. Both replied no, lol. It made me think of mine and if I should even have any. I decided to have a few personal goals but mainly to step back and enjoy everything that is in my life. The good and the bad. There really isn’t any bad, it is how we handle things when they don’t go our way. I read that life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it. This year and moving forward I am going to be more aware of how I handle things. Cheers to new beginnings and going with the flow! (most of the time) Do you have any resolutions for 2016?
1. Make a list and stick to it!
2. Shop early to avoid overspending the day before Christmas.
3. Arrive to the store early enough to get a parking spot close to the entrance (Safety first)
4. Leave the kiddos at home. (Every year I say that I am not taking them and I always have to make a last minute trip to buy something and they just drive me crazy)
5. Have the bottle of wine ready! (No matter how much you plan ahead, wine is always good!)
One of the best parts of Sporty Mommas is our love for giving back. Each year we are dedicated to raise awareness and funds for charities that impact women. On September 30th, please join us for a fun night of bowling, networking, raffles and so much more. Grab your girls and fellas you can hang with us too as we come together for this great cause. Net proceeds will benefit local breast cancer support groups. In the past we have donated to Susan G. Komen, The American Cancer Society and Beautiful Gate. We look forward to your support. If you are unable to attend you can still make a donation to the Sporty Mommas Charitable Fund 6619 S. Dixie Highway, #310 Miami, FL 33143. Here is a little secret. Whenever I have a party or last minute event I head over to Zara's. I absolutely love Zara's! You can find something for almost any occasion and most of the time it is under $100. My friends use to ask me, "Where did you find that", now they just say, "Oh you went to Zara's". Here are my top picks at zara.com under $100. Sometimes I can add shoes and accessories and still spend under $200. Don't even get me started with the kid's section. Try mixing in your Sporty Momma's tee or bling hat for a sportychic look! Happy shopping!
I can't wait until Spring Break! Most of us will take a trip with the kiddos or enjoy a little stay-cation. I am looking forward to sleeping in and hanging out by the pool. Here are a few #SportyChic ideas!
It is buzzing around our office today and we love it! There are so many great events coming up over the next month. Sporty Mommas will be at Fashion in the Gardens and Sunni Dai's Kid's Fashion Show this weekend. Both events are for great causes. One benefits the public schools of Pinecrest and the other will raise funds for Juvenile Arthritis. Stay tuned for tweets and pics from these fabulous events.
Be YOU, Be GREAT, Be FABULOUS
The first Sporty Mommas Collection was created with love to inspire women to be ourselves. To embrace all of our imperfections and to learn to rock what we have. We often compare ourselves to other women instead of claiming our own greatness. You will see that the butterfly is used as a symbol of transformation. As women and mothers, we travel through this journey of life (and it is not always easy) striving to be the best we can be. So let your soul rise above all self doubt, trials and tribulations because like the butterfly you were born to rise.
No matter what; Be YOU, Be Great, Be Fabulous!
