The first Sporty Mommas Collection was created with love to inspire women to be ourselves. To embrace all of our imperfections and to learn to rock what we have. We often compare ourselves to other women instead of claiming our own greatness.  You will see that the butterfly is used as a symbol of transformation. As women and mothers, we travel through this journey of life (and it is not always easy) striving to be the best we can be. We just held our 2nd Annual Charity Bowling Bash raising funds for breast cancer research and support. People ask why did you start doing that event. Well breast cancer hit close to home about 14 years ago. My Auntie Karen was diagnosed at 32 years old. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend. She battled cancer for 7 years but in 2003 at the young age of 39, she passed away. She left behind a husband and two young sons. She was a true Sporty Momma. Her smile and kindness would light up a room.  It has been a while but her spirit lives on. 

In honor of Karen and all of the women battling this horrible disease, I will continue to do my part to help the fight against breast cancer. This month 10% of all sales will go to the Sporty Momma's Charitable Fund that was created to assist women and children in need. Be sure to check out our pink and limited edition items.

It's back to school and that means back to the sound of the alarm clock, horns blowing, kids screaming and traffic jams. For most of us moms, we are relieved that we can get our kids back on a schedule. I know I am. If you haven't noticed yet, rave patterns have become a huge trend. Everyday street style is full of mixing bright colors with amazing prints. I am definitely going to jump on this trend for Fall. The best thing about Sporty Mommas Apparel is you can mix our tees with just about anything and look fabulous. Jeggings, warm ups and even cutoffs will be a hit when paired with our signature bling or graphic tees. So have you tried rocking patterns lately? 

After returning home from a week long, two country vacation, I just had to share what I learned. I spent about a week preparing for my trips. Ok maybe 2. I overpacked and over spent trying to make sure I had everything I needed for Mexico and Paradise Island. I did have more than enough but I realized that I really only needed a few essentials. No matter where you are going you need at least one pair of jeans and jean shorts. One swimsuit per day is sufficient and you can never go wrong with a few rompers and maxi dresses. One large tote and a small clutch or cross body. Two pair of heels and lots of sandals. Did I say lots of sandals? I kept my Sporty Momma bling cap with me at all times and it came in handy. I really enjoyed both trips but I am so glad to be home! Now I need to go return all of the items I didn't need. Lol, or not! Happy Travels! 

Wow,  we are a few days away from the 4th of July! It is one of my favorite holidays. First, it means summer is really here and second my birthday is just a few days away! This year is all about color and mixing the Sporty Chic trend with everything. You can mix and match just about anything and still look fab.
